Ajinkya Chaulkar, a distinguished sculptor hailing from Mumbai, is an alumnus of the prestigious Sir J J School of Art. His exceptional talent has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Bendre-Husain Scholarship in 1997, the Human Resource Fellowship from the Department of Culture, Government of India in 2002, and the J S Khanderao Award from Hiremath Sansthan Bhalki Bidar K S. His sculptural creations have graced renowned art galleries, including the Jehangir Art Gallery, Y B Chavan Art Gallery, Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Tangent Art Gallery, and the National Gallery of Modern Art. Ajinkya Chaulkar's artistic contributions extend to numerous public spaces, where he has crafted impressive monuments. Notable among these are the bronze bust of former Karnataka Chief Minister "Late Dharamsingh" in Gulbarga in 2018, the bronze bust of Jijamata in Navi Mumbai in 2014, and the bronze statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Navi Mumbai. His sculptures are a testament to his exceptional artistic prowess, enriching public spaces and art galleries alike.
