Professor Prakash Bhise, a retired painting professor from LS Raheja College of Arts, has left an indelible mark on art education. For 28 years, he imparted his expertise in drawing from nature, figurative and non-figurative painting, life-study, man-made object representation, the history of art, and pictorial design to advanced and diploma students. His contributions extend beyond the classroom, as he served as a jury member for the central government scholarship program by CCRT. Professor Bhise is not just an educator but also a practicing artist. His recent exhibition at the Art & Soul Gallery in Mumbai, centered around 'Golpitha,' a poetry book by renowned poet Padmashree Namdev Dhasal, is a testament to his creative talents. In recognition of his artistic achievements, Professor Bhise received the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition Award in 2004. His career is marked by a profound commitment to both teaching and artistic expression, making him a significant figure in the world of art and education.
