Nagesh Ghodke, a Mumbai-based artist and graduate of the Raheja School of Art with a Bachelor’s degree in Drawing and Painting, finds deep inspiration in his rural childhood. His art celebrates the essence of village life, which forms the heart of India’s cultural identity. Through his distinctive acrylic-on-canvas works, Nagesh transforms simple rural landscapes into poetic visual narratives. His paintings feature clusters of houses reminiscent of Mediterranean hills and Indian villages, accented by trees and temples. Using a predominantly monochromatic palette of warm reds, yellows, cool blues, and greys, he skillfully captures shifting moods and the timeless beauty of rural life.
